Aviasur Uruguay is an aviation maintenance company created in December 2024 from the merger between Sofitech S.A. and Aviasur. The original company, founded in 2007, specialized in maintenance for commercial airlines and, starting in 2014, became an Authorized Service Center for Textron Aviation covering Cessna and Beechcraft Piston aircraft. It also achieved certifications in Paraguay (2017) and Argentina (2018). As a result of the merger, Aviasur Uruguay completed an expansion in August 2025, growing its facilities from 600m² to 1,500m². This enlargement allows the company to expand its capabilities and service larger aircraft. The company also offers a VIP lounge, new spare parts warehouses, and specialized workshops for a more comprehensive service.

Aviasur is expanding its network with a new base, Aviasur Uruguay, established through a merger with Sofitech Uruguay in December 2024. This new location leverages the expertise of Sofitech, which was founded in 2007. The company was already a Textron Aviation Authorized Service Center since 2014, holding certifications for Paraguay (2017) and Argentina (2018). In August 2025, Aviasur Uruguay completed the expansion of its facilities from 600m² to 1500m². This allows them to service larger aircraft and offer a more complete range of services, including a VIP lounge, new spare parts warehouses, and specialized workshops.
