Aviasur takes a decisive step in strengthening its international infrastructure with the opening of its new facilities at Fort Lauderdale International Airport (FLL). This milestone marks the consolidation of our presence in the United States, adding to our existing operation in Opa-Locka (KOPF).

With this second hangar in Florida, Aviasur establishes a robust support network in the region, designed specifically to provide base services, storage, and logistics for corporate aircraft. This expansion allows us to offer greater coverage and flexibility to operators and owners who require world-class support during their transit through North America.

A hub of strategic services

The incorporation of the Fort Lauderdale base, alongside Opa-Locka, enables us to cover the two most important points for business aviation in South Florida. This dual presence creates an ideal service corridor for aircraft arriving from South America, Central America, and the Caribbean, ensuring they have a reliable arrival point with certified technical standards.

This is not just about space, it’s about response capability. By doubling our infrastructure in the area, we strengthen our ground services and crew assistance offering.

High-level technical infrastructure

The new hangar at FLL has been developed with the technical demands of modern jets and ground safety in mind. The facilities include:

• 1,250 m² (13,500 sqft) of hangar space, equipped with high-clearance hydraulic doors that accommodate medium and large-cabin jets.
• 195 m² (2,100 sqft) of corporate office space designed for administrative management and client reception.
• Direct access to the ramp, optimizing movement times and ensuring safe operations on the apron.
• High-resistance technical flooring, prepared for towing maneuvers and maintenance work.

Aircraft Custody: Comprehensive asset protection

Our core focus at this new location is our Aircraft Custody service. This solution ensures that every aircraft under our care maintains its impeccable operational condition while on U.S. soil. The service integrates:

• Advanced fire-prevention systems.
• 24/7 CCTV monitoring for internal and perimeter security.
• High-efficiency LED lighting for clear visual inspections.
• Technical cleaning services and condition monitoring.
